Terms of Trade

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services. By submitting a payment via our payment links or requesting our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Parties and Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Client") and Mazzeo Science and Technology Consulting, registered in Denmark with Danish Central Business Register (CVR) number 46049209 ("we", "us", or "our").

This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.

2. Scope of Services and Academic Integrity

We provide professional academic proofreading, copy-editing, and dissertation coaching services.

Editing Scope: Services are strictly limited to correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and improving overall clarity and flow.
Coaching Scope: Coaching services are designed to facilitate your research process, time management, and workflow. This includes guidance on establishing writing routines, timeline strategy, navigating feedback, and preparing for defenses.
Prohibitions: We will not rewrite your paper, generate content, conduct research, alter your data, or address AI-hallucinated citations unless explicitly agreed upon in a custom quote. Our services do not constitute ghostwriting or academic fraud.
Academic Accountability: The Client retains 100% final responsibility for the dissertation content, full adherence to their institution's honor codes, and the final grade received. Coaching and editing are advisory tools, and we do not guarantee academic approval or passing grades.

3. Pricing, Taxes, and Payment

Payment Links: You will receive a secure Revolut Business payment link via email or messaging to complete your transaction. You can settle this invoice securely using your credit or debit card.
Currency: All prices are quoted and charged in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated on your invoice or payment link.
Taxes: If you are located outside the European Union (EU), we do not charge Danish VAT (Moms) on our services. You are solely responsible for any local sales taxes or use taxes that may apply in your specific US state jurisdiction.
Payment Timing: Payment must be cleared in full via the payment link before we commence editing or before a scheduled coaching session begins.
Bank Fees: You are responsible for any international transaction fees, currency conversion fees, or foreign processing fees charged by your own bank or credit card issuer.

4. Turnaround Times, Delivery, and Scheduling

Editing Deadlines: The agreed delivery deadline begins only after (1) the Revolut payment link has been successfully processed and marked as paid, and (2) the final, complete file has been uploaded or received by us.
Coaching Sessions: Coaching calls must be scheduled in advance. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must give at least 24 hours' notice. Missed sessions or late cancellations without the required notice will be billed at the full session rate.

5. Cancellations and Right of Withdrawal

Under standard US consumer practices for customized digital services and human-led coaching, all sales are final once the service has commenced.

For compliance with mandatory EU consumer protections (where applicable), by proceeding with a purchase and submitting your document or requesting a coaching session, you explicitly request that the service begin immediately and acknowledge that you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once the digital service has been fully performed.
For editing, if you cancel a request after work has begun but before completion, you will be billed a prorated amount for the work already completed. For coaching, prepaid sessions are non-refundable after the 14-day statutory period (where applicable).

6. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

Ownership: The Client retains full ownership and copyright of the original document and the edited version. All materials generated by us during coaching sessions belong to us.
Confidentiality: We treat all manuscripts and coaching discussions as strictly confidential. Your data and research will never be shared with third parties, sold, or used to train external artificial intelligence models.

7. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Revision Period: For editing services, if you are dissatisfied with the quality of the edit, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of receiving the file. We will review your concerns and, if valid errors are found within the original scope of work, provide a targeted re-edit at no additional cost.
Dispute Resolution: For consumers, disputes may also be submitted to the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform.
